Marseille interested in Feyenoord striker Santiago Giménez | OneFootball

According to a report from Foot Mercato and information from RMC Sport, Olympique de Marseille are interested in securing Feyenoord’s Santiago Giménez (23) as they look to bolster their attacking options.

Marseille are in the hunt for a new striker with summer signing Elye Wahi (22) close to a departure only six months after he arrived from RC Lens on a €30 million deal (including bonuses). This search has seen the club linked with loans for either Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford or Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel.

As an alternative to these two targets, Marseille have also been looking at Giménez. The striker has been very successful in the Netherlands since arriving from Cruz Azul in 2022, and this season has scored 13 goals across 17 games.

However, a deal for him could prove to be complicated especially in the current window. Foot Mercato writes that the striker is valued at above €40 million and it remains to be seen whether the French side have the resources to convince Feyenoord to sell midway through the season.
