Marseille underlined their firepower with a 5-2 win at Angers. As reported by L'Équipe, OM rank among Europe’s most prolific attacks this season.

Since August, the routs have piled up, 5-2 against Paris FC, 6-2 against Le Havre, 5-1 at Nice, then 5-2 at Angers.

Those results have pushed them past PSG at the top of the scoring charts, 41 to 40. They have also swept through the Coupe de France, beating Bayeux 9-0 and Bourg-en-Bresse 6-0.

Since the turn of the year, Marseille have scored 16 goals in all competitions, the joint-highest across the five major European leagues alongside Bayern Munich.

Their 41 after 18 league matches is their best at this stage since 1971-1972, when they had 42 and won the title, and the first time this century they have hit 41 by then.

At individual level, Mason Greenwood is on 20 goals for 2025-2026 in all competitions, the first Marseille player to reach that mark in two different seasons since André-Pierre Gignac.

At the same stage last season they were second with 37 points to 35 now and had scored 40. After an ambitious summer, fans could dream of a title, though over 34 rounds it may yet elude them.
