Marseille pay tribute to Jean-Louis Gasset before Nantes match

Marseille paid tribute to former coach Jean-Louis Gasset before facing Nantes at the Vélodrome on Sunday.

The Ligue 1 fixture on matchday 17 began with a minute’s silence and a large tifo in his honour, according to L'Équipe.

Gasset died on 26 December at the age of 72.

He managed Marseille from February to June 2024, replacing Italian coach Gennaro Gattuso.

During that spell he led the club to the Europa League semi-finals.
