Whilst he still remains at the club, Neal Maupay looked to have already played his last game for Olympique de Marseille. The Frenchman has not been involved in first-team training, has not even been in team meetings for some of the season, but he has been reintegrated into the set-up and, against Stade Brestois, included in the matchday squad.
Roberto De Zerbi confirmed yesterday that Maupay could play a part for Marseille against Brest, even if he is not expected to start. Instead, it could be academy product Robinio Vaz who leads the line at the Vélodrome on Saturday afternoon. Having started from the bench in the midweek defeat to Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League, Igor Paixao and Angel Gomes could return to the starting XI.
Geronimo Rulli; Emerson, Nayef Aguerd, Benjamin Pavard, Michael Murillo; Arthur Vermeeren, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg; Igor Paixao, Angel Gomes, Mason Greenwood; Robinio Vaz. (L’Éq)
