Olympique de Marseille president Pablo Longoria has today revealed that the club will be looking to move on Brazilian winger Luis Henrique (23) this summer, at a press conference attended by Get French Football News at the Stade Vélodrome on Monday. The Spaniard revealed that not only Inter Milan have had discussions with the club, and that he is looking to sell Henrique in the next 30 days. “Discussions aren’t only with Inter Milan – there are discussions with other clubs. Our goal is to sell Luis Henrique before 30 June, for accounting reasons, in line with our commitment to UEFA, the DNCG and out of respect for the owner. This is something we have shared with his entourage. Discussions began during the season, taking the risk that he might not be fully focused.”“It’s also true that the Club World Cup has changed the dynamic of the market: many teams are already anticipating their moves, such as Real Madrid with the signing of Huijsen. Yes, there are discussions. And the objective, shared with the player and his entourage, is clear: to find him a way out. I must say that I am proud. Proud that Luis Henrique has attracted the attention of several big European clubs. That’s what I promised him even before he arrived at OM. I called him during Covid and told him that in my next project, I wanted to bring him to a big European club. I’m happy to have kept my word and helped him reach this level.”Champions League finalists Inter are set to continue talks to sign Henrique after personal terms have reportedly already been agreed for the Brazilian.L’Équipe previously reported that the club would like €30m for the winger, after Get French Football News revealed that Henrique had been attracting interest from the Premier League. Newcastle and Nottingham Forest were notably interested in the Marseille man.The Brazilian winger had been a revelation for the club in the early parts of the campaign, helping to fire Marseille towards Champions League qualification. But the winger’s performances in recent months have tailed off and he has become the focus of criticism from manager Roberto De Zerbi and the fanbase. In 33 matches, Henrique has scored seven goals and registered seven assists.GFFN | George Boxall – reporting from Stade Vélodrome, Marseille.
