A Marseille supporter says she was sexually assaulted in the Vélodrome stands during Sunday’s 2-3 defeat to Paris FC. The club has responded and offered support to the young woman.

RMC reports that the club said in a statement that it had been informed of particularly serious allegations and had contacted the supporter. It offered to assist her, will provide any material it holds and fully cooperate with the authorities, and will take any measures required once facts are established.

In a TikTok video posted on Monday, the woman said she noticed a wet substance on her shirt, lower back and trousers as she sat down, which she believed was semen. She initially thought it was spit and said the incident left her feeling filthy.

She said she attended the entire match and contacted police and leaders of the Dodgers supporters’ group to report the assault.

She added that she could not reach the toilets to rinse her hands and described the experience as something she would not wish on anyone.
