Foot Mercato report this afternoon that Marseille could be set to add another defender to their summer signings, with Colombian defender Jhon Lucumí of Genk said to be a target.
The 24-year-old centre-back is under contract with the Belgian side until the end of the coming season, having been at the club since 2018 after joining from his formative team Deportivo Cali.
Lucumí’s arrival would be a fourth defensive signing this summer for last year’s runners-up in Ligue 1, having already brought in Samuel Gigot, Chancel Mbemba, and the young prospect Isaak Touré.
The defender has been a full Colombia international since 2019, and has appeared five times for his country’s senior side after previously turning out for the youth teams.
For the Flemish club, Lucumí has made a total of 136 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals while also being a part of the Belgian league-winning squad in 2018/19 and winning the domestic cup the following year.
