Marseille are expected to strengthen Roberto De Zerbi’s squad with two deadline-day additions, Himad Abdelli and Tochukwu Nnadi.

Foot Mercato reports that Angers SCO midfielder Abdelli, 26, landed in Marseille this morning to complete a €2.5m move.

His Angers contract was due to expire in June, and with Olympique Lyonnais interested, the Algerian made clear his preference to join Marseille.

Abdelli is expected to replace Brighton loanee Matt O’Riley, whose stint is set to be cut short. The Denmark international is set to spend the rest of the campaign with the Seagulls because he cannot play for a third club in a single season.

Marseille have also worked behind the scenes on a surprise agreement with Zulte Waregem for Nigeria international defensive midfielder Nnadi. The 22-year-old was seen at Marseille’s Marignane airport on Monday.
