Marseille to host Sevilla and Aston Villa at the Vélodrome in pre-season friendlies | OneFootball

Olympique de Marseille have announced they will host two high-profile pre-season friendlies at the Orange Vélodrome this August, facing Sevilla FC and Aston Villa FC as part of their preparations for the 2025/26 season. Les Phocéens will be returning to the UEFA Champions League for the 2025-2026 season, and will be facing two sides of European stature before OM kick off the Ligue 1 season with a trip to Stade Rennais. The first match will take place on Saturday, 2nd at 20:00 CET, against Sevilla, who hold the honour of being record seven-time UEFA Europa League champions. A week later at 19:00 CET, OM will welcome Premier League side Aston Villa. Meeting an English side comes a what will be a likely dress rehearsal for the Champions League group stages, where Roberto De Zerbi’s men will most likely face at least one side from the Premier League.
