Marseille ‘to retain’ interest in Edon Zhegrova

Marseille remain interested in Edon Zhegrova after missing out on the Kosovan winger last summer, Gazzetta suggests.

Zhegrova’s final season at Lille was badly disrupted by injury, though the previous campaign had enhanced his reputation. When his LOSC deal expired, he became a free agent and drew attention from several major clubs.

Marseille were among them, offering him the chance to stay in Ligue 1. He instead chose Juventus, signing a contract through 2030.

The move has not worked out so far. Zhegrova has featured in just 20 matches for the Serie A club in all competitions and is yet to register a goal or assist.

OM still admire Zhegrova and relations between the clubs are strong. With Juventus also interested in Marseille’s Mason Greenwood, there is the possibility of a deal.
