According to L’Équipe, Saudi Arabian side Al-Shabab are interested in Olympique de Marseille forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (34). However, it is thought that the Gabonese forward is not receptive to interest from the Gulf State.

Unconvinced by former RC Strasbourg Alsace striker Habib Diallo, who joined the club last summer, Al-Shabab are back in the market for a goal-scorer this summer. The Saudi club want to sign Aubameyang, who after a slow start to life at Marseille, finished the season with 30 goals.

Saudi Arabian sides showed interest last summer before the former Barcelona, Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund striker joined OM from Chelsea. However, it is thought that a move to the Gulf State is not in line with Aubameyang’s sporting ambitions. Foot Mercato understands that, amid long-standing interest from the Saudi Pro League, he wishes to remain with Les Phocéens, with whom he remains under contract for another two years.
