Olympique de Marseille’s Pierre-Emile Højbjerg (30) is attracting interest from across the Pyrenees. According to information from Corriere dello Sport, Juventus – who had already set their sights on him last winter – Inter Milan and AS Roma could all attempt to sign the 30-year-old midfielder during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Under contract with Les Phocéens until 2028, the Dane could therefore be released for a fee of at least €12 million, which would be accompanied by bonuses. This could therefore be a hot topic for Marseille this summer, as the prospect of offloading one of the club’s highest earners – who is on a gross monthly salary of around €500,000 according to L’Équipe – could well facilitate negotiations.
An undisputed first-choice midfielder for Marseille, Højbjerg has started 33 of the 36 matches he has played this season. What’s more, the Copenhagen-born player has proved decisive on seven occasions, scoring three goals and providing four assists.
