Whilst Quinten Timber is one of the players that Olympique de Marseille would ideally like to retain, the club’s financial situation means that a strong offer for the Netherlands international cannot be refused. Interest is growing, heightening the chances of a summer exit, as per a report from Foot Mercato.
The 25-year-old has made his preference a move to the Premier League this summer, despite his contract with OM running until the summer of 2030. The midfielder only arrived in the winter, playing 16 times between then and the end of the campaign. There are now talks between Timber’s entourage and Portuguese giants Porto FC.
In order to sell the Dutchman, who participated with the Netherlands at the recent FIFA World Cup, OM are demanding a fee of €22m. Timber is not opposed to an exit from the Vélodrome this summer, so long as the project proposed is of interest to him.
