Drury began his professional coaching career at Bradford City in 2016. He worked in a variety of roles for the Bantams over the course of six years, including U14s to U16s lead, U18s coach and first-team assistant.
He was named head of coaching and player development with Bradford’s Academy six months before leaving for Manchester United in August 2022.
Drury spent two years as the Red Devils’ U15s lead before joining Carlos Corberán’s first-team staff at West Bromwich Albion in August 2024.
Drury was reunited with Corberán at Valencia in January this year following the Spaniard’s appointment as head coach.
Brentford head coach Keith Andrews said: “We are really pleased to get Martin on board. During the interview process he showed a very high level of competency around coaching.
“He's been on a long journey as a coach and had lots of different experiences, none more so than his most recent job at Valencia.
“I'm really looking forward to integrating Martin into what I see as a really talented coaching staff."
