The 37-year-old has emerged as a leading contender for the role as Spurs look to secure cover between the sticks for manager Roberto De Zerbi.

Dubravka’s current contract expires on June 30. His availability makes him a low-risk option for Tottenham.

He spent the 2025/26 campaign with Burnley, making 35 Premier League appearances.

While Burnley struggled defensively and Dubravka was benched for the final three games, his individual resilience stood out on several occasions.

He produced an outstanding eight-save performance against Manchester City in late April, proving that his shot-stopping instincts and reflexes remain sharp.

Beyond his recent stint at Burnley, the ‘magnificent‘ Dubravka has a wealth of top-tier experience that aligns with Tottenham’s requirements for a back-up goalkeeper.

He previously spent seven years at Newcastle United, making 179 appearances across all competitions.

His time on Tyneside included several seasons as first-choice and a League Cup winner’s medal in the 2024–25 campaign.

Additionally, his brief loan spell at Manchester United in 2022–23 gave him valuable experience in a high-pressure ‘Big Six’ dressing room.

With contract talks between free agents and clubs ramping up ahead of the official July registration window, Dubravka’s extensive experience in English football puts him at the top of Tottenham’s goalkeeper shortlist.

Spurs are also looking at Jason Steele and Karl Darlow as they prepare to part ways with Guglielmo Vicario.
