Following Saturday’s emphatic 4-0 victory over Dundee United at Celtic Park, the Hoops are back in league action tomorrow night (Wednesday, January 14) with a trip to face Falkirk on the cards and the opportunity to pick up another massive three points.
John McGlynn’s Falkirk side have been in impressive form throughout the campaign so far and deservedly find themselves in the top half of the table, five points clear of their nearest challengers.
The home side go in to tomorrow’s match on the back of a good win themselves, having defeated St Mirren 2-0 in Paisley on Saturday afternoon and, speaking to the media at Lennoxtown this afternoon, Celtic boss Martin O’Neill said that he expects a tough test at the Falkirk Stadium tomorrow.
“The Falkirk game is a big match for us,” he said. “They’re a team who are flying at the moment.
“I thought that even when we won in my opening game of the last period, I thought they were very strong.
“We got a couple of goals at important moments and that deflated them a little bit but I have the utmost regard for the manager and the job that he’s done there.”
