Gabriel Martinelli hit a debut hat-trick for Al-Hilal, ending an eight-month wait and opening his account since joining from Arsenal. As reported by Goal.com.

Al-Hilal travelled to Buraidah to face Al-Taawoun in the seventh round of the Saudi Roshn League. Martinelli struck their second in the 18th minute after a rebound, his first for the club in his third appearance.

It was also his first at club level in seven months, his previous goals for Arsenal came on 15 February in a 4-0 win over Wigan in the FA Cup fourth round. Since then, he had managed only one goal, for Brazil in a 2-1 win over Japan in the round of 32 at the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico. At league level, this was his first in almost a year, his last arrived in a 1-1 draw with Manchester City on 21 September 2025 in the fifth round of the Premier League.

He doubled up in the 43rd minute, running onto a through ball from English team-mate Ollie Watkins before finishing. He completed his treble in the 50th minute, turning in a low cross from Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville.

It was his first hat-trick since 11 January, when Arsenal beat Portsmouth 4-1 in the FA Cup third round. He had debuted for Al-Hilal off the bench in a 2-0 win over Al-Shabab in the fifth round, then started the 2-0 defeat to Neom without scoring.
