Sergio Busquets, 37, will bring his playing career to an end this winter. Javier Mascherano, his coach at Inter Miami, reveals that the Spanish midfielder is eager to step into management.

Busquets spent his entire professional career at Barcelona until 2023 before joining the American club. His contract with Inter Miami ends at the close of the year and will not be renewed. Mascherano, who was once Busquets' teammate at Barcelona, explains:

We've already talked about it, and Busquets told us he wants to try becoming a coach. I don't know how long it will take, but he has all the qualities needed.

In MLS, Busquets has scored 1 goal and provided 16 assists in 105 matches. He also has 2 goals and 9 assists in 143 appearances for the Spanish national team.
