Roma is working tirelessly to strengthen their attack.
Giacomo Raspadori isn’t the only one at the Giallorossi, but he’s also strongly targeting Joshua Zirkzee.
While an agreement has already been reached with Manchester United (a loan with an option to buy for €38 million, contingent on Champions League qualification), good news has arrived regarding the player’s agreement.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Frederic Massara had further contact with the player’s team today.
The former Bologna player is ready to comply with the agreement he already gave to Roma, and a contract worth approximately €3.5 million per season is in place until 2030.
However, the managerial chaos in Manchester, with the Red Devils, is slowing down all transfer decisions, even those already made.
As Fabrizio Romano adds, Roma want to make a double move, but Zirkzee’s deal is still a long way off. Manchester United hasn’t yet made a decision on Zirkzee. There are two main reasons.
The first, as mentioned, concerns the choice of a new coach. He will decide what to do with the former Bologna player.
The other concerns the Africa Cup of Nations, which features Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo, two of the Red Devils’ strikers.
The English club has long made it clear they won’t give up Zirkzee until after their players’ Africa Cup of Nations campaign.
Everything could therefore hinge on Cameroon-Morocco, where Roma’s Neil El Aynaoui will also be involved.
If Cameroon is eliminated, United would have Mbeumo back, and that point could lead to the sale of Zirkzee.
