Matarazzo starts Real Sociedad pre-season with 12 promoted youngsters | OneFootball

Real Sociedad begin pre-season under Matarazzo at Zubieta on Saturday, with 12 players promoted from the reserve side for initial medical and fitness tests. The first training session on the pitch follows on Sunday and will be open to the public.

According to AS, the American coach has selected Fraga, Kita, recently tied down until 2030, Beitia, Balda, Lebarbier, Aguirre, Mikel Rodríguez, Carbonell, Dani Díaz, Ochieng, Marchal and Carrera to work with the first team in the opening weeks.

All 12 featured in Segunda División last season and are highly regarded within the academy.

They will handle routine sessions in the absence of World Cup players Kubo, Sucic, Guedes and Oyarzabal.

Sergio Gómez, Jon Martín and Turrientes, promoted by Luis de la Fuente, also have several extra days of leave.
