Following their triumph at Gtech Community Stadium, Brentford Women will welcome Ashmount Leigh to Bedfont Sports Club on Sunday (3pm kick-off).

The Bees will be eyeing another victory to continue their unbeaten start in the London South East Division One North, a run that sees them sit three points clear at the top of the table.

The game kicks-off a run of four-straight games at Bedfont for Karleigh Osborne’s side, who will face Sport London E Benfica in FA Cup third round qualifying next, followed by league clashes with Dulwich Hamlet Reserves and Richmond Park.

Last time out

Brentford cruised to a 7-0 win over Clapton Community in their latest outing, the Bees putting on a show in front of 3,585 fans at the Gtech.

Gtech debutant Ashley Cheatley starred with a hat-trick, while Chloe Logie (two) and Nikki Woods and Samantha Read (one each) also got on the scoresheet.

It was the side’s third game played at the west London stadium across the past three seasons, their second coming against Ashmount Leigh in the 2023/24 campaign.

That game was a 6-1 win for Brentford, Logie’s two goals followed by Woods, Kirsty Matthews, Maddie Phillips and Ellen Wardlaw’s one goal each.

Ashmount Leigh have had a slow start to the season, the side sitting 10th in the league table with one win, one draw and two losses.

They started off strongly with a 4-1 opening game win over AFC Whyteleafe in August, however have fallen away since then.

They were knocked out of FA Cup qualifying following a 5-1 loss to Sevenoaks Town and were beaten by Denham United (6-2) and Clapton Community (6-3) in league action. They picked up a point against Richmond Park with a 1-1 draw.

Rosanne Fine has led the way up front with four goals from her four starts.

Brentford Women B are back on the road on Sunday, travelling to Regent's Park to face Camden and Islington United (2pm kick-off).

The Greater London Premier Division clash will be the Bees' fifth to date, the previous four games delivering a draw and three losses.

Yannawit Khantharat's side earned their first point of the season last time out, drawing 1-1 with title challengers Islington Borough at Bedfont Sports Club.

In their best performance to date, Brentford went into the half-time break down, however a Chelsie Berry bicycle kick in the second half helped the Bees secure a well-deserved point.

About Camden and Islington United

Camden and Islington United come into Sunday's clash 10th in the league table with three losses from as many games.

While they have suffered league defeats to Camden Town (6-1), Islington Borough (5-0) and Comets (5-1), they have enjoyed success in the FA Cup.

They beat Barton United 2-0 in first round qualifying and followed that with a 1-0 win over Haddenham. They will face Aylesford in third round qualifying.
