Fans heading down to BMO Field this Saturday night will also get to battle the massive Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) crowds. Who Are Ya? - NYCFC

NYCFC currently sits in 7th place in the Eastern Conference on 27 points, holding a narrow three-point cushion over Toronto FC. New York hasn't won a league match since late July when they defeated Chicago 3-1. Since then, they have picked up two draws and two losses in MLS action, including a 1-1 deadlock against Toronto. Their post-World Cup break stretch also included an early exit from the Leagues Cup. Although they opened the tournament with a 2-0 win over Santos Laguna, back-to-back losses against Cruz Azul and Necaxa sent them packing quickly.

In their last outing, NYCFC scrapped out a 1-1 draw against the New England Revolution in Foxboro. Keeper Matt Freese was kept exceptionally busy, making five vital saves to keep NYCFC afloat. Nico Fernandez Mercau - The Argentine playmaker has been NYCFC’s most dynamic attacking engine this season, racking up an impressive 13 goals and three assists. Fernández Mercau commands the match with his lethal execution in dead-ball situations and sharp instincts inside the box, as evidenced by his coolly taken penalty against Toronto in their last meeting. If TFC gives him space between the lines, he has the technical ability to punish them instantly.

Agustín Ojeda - Operating out wide, the young Argentine winger provides raw pace and directness, posting five goals and five assists on the campaign. Let's TF-See - Toronto's Current Form

A stunning 2-1 win in Miami left Toronto supporters pleasantly surprised. With a depleted backline missing Walker Zimmerman due to suspension, there was little confidence that TFC could keep Miami's high-powered offense at bay. However, Toronto took the play directly to Miami in the opening half, and thanks to second-half goals from Josh Sargent and Derrick Etienne Jr., TFC proved to be too much for the hosts. The main caveat heading into Saturday is that Toronto cannot park the bus as heavily as they did during the final 30 minutes in South Florida, which led to several tense moments. Furthermore, unlike Miami, NYCFC's lineup does not feature a collection of players closer to 40 than they would wish.

On the injury front, Niklas Dorsch remains out after suffering a facial fracture, with no fixed timeline for his return. The expectation is that he could return within a few weeks fitted with a Batman-style plastic protective mask to guard his orbital bone. On a positive note, Walker Zimmerman returns from his one-game suspension and will immediately bolster the central defense.

Toronto will certainly be competitive against NYCFC on Saturday. If they take the game to New York with the same intensity they showed early in Miami, TFC could go up early and control the match.
