Mateo Del Blanco signs for Strasbourg from Union Santa Fe

Argentine left-back Mateo Del Blanco has officially signed for Strasbourg from Union Santa Fe for €2.4m, the value of his release clause.

As reported by L'Équipe on 29 April, Strasbourg had been tracking him for months before sealing the deal.

The 22-year-old made 108 appearances for his formative club and had been under contract there until December 2028.

He had also been monitored by Lyon and Toulouse.

Del Blanco will compete with Ben Chilwell for the left flank. Strasbourg begin their season away at Marseille on 21 August.
