Mateo Joseph says he has made major personal strides after a season on loan at RCD Mallorca and an ACL setback, sharing gym images that show his progress.

The Leeds United forward wrote on Instagram: "Small improvements these past few weeks are starting to turn into big changes, we continue to build."

Last summer he told Leeds he did not feel ready to travel to Sweden for a pre-season friendly with Manchester United, then opted against joining the training camp in Germany.

He later informed head coach Daniel Farke he wanted a move back to Spain, with Leeds only prepared to sanction a loan. Real Betis showed interest and Mallorca were also keen, and he joined on a season-long loan.

The Spain under-21 striker made 30 appearances for Mallorca, scoring two goals with four assists. His campaign ended in April after an ACL injury that left him facing at least a few months out.

Joseph returns to Elland Road this summer with his next step unclear. He is under contract until the summer of 2028.
