Mateo Joseph says he would be happy to extend his stay at Mallorca, though the Leeds United forward admits his Elland Road future remains undecided.

"I'd like to continue being happy here. When you're happy somewhere, why change?" He was speaking to La Zona 10.

"It doesn't depend much on me because I have a contract with another club. We'll see what the future holds for me. I'm grateful to the coaches I've had, also to my team-mates, who from day one have made me feel like one of them, and to the sporting director, who has always shown confidence in me."

The 22-year-old is on a season-long loan at the relegation-threatened La Liga side and has scored in only one of his 29 appearances, a brace against Sevilla in October. He also has three assists.

Joseph left Leeds under a cloud last summer after refusing to join the pre-season camp in Germany, having not started a Championship match in 2025, and submitted a transfer request. A move to Mallorca followed without a purchase option, and he remains admired by chairman Paraag Marathe. His Leeds contract runs until 2028.
