It must have taken a while for Manchester City to overcome their horrible performance against arch-rivals Manchester United at Etihad Stadium. Things continue to get tougher for Pep Guardiola’s men and they have little time left to fix it.
Defence
Ederson produced another bad performance and he is expected to get replaced by Stefan Ortega between the sticks. Kyle Walker has been pretty awful in recent times and he should make way for Rico Lewis at the right-back spot.
Ruben Dias forms the heart of the defence with John Stones which allows Josko Gvardiol to move to his original left-back position. Notably, Manuel Akanji could be marking his comeback with Matheus Nunes warming the bench.

Midfield
Mateo Kovačić is finally back in the middle of the park and hopes he sails the ship for the Citizens.
Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden continue to operate in the attacking areas. Hopefully, they can be more impactful this time and get their team back on track.
Attack
While Jeremy Doku retains his spot on the left wing, Bernardo Silva’s place might be allowed to Savinho as the latter can be more destructive with his skillset in the final third.
Erling Haaland leads the attacking pack unsurprisingly but he surely needs to catch up with his vintage form.
Nathan Ake, Oscar Bobb and Rodri are confirmed absentees as they are still in progress of recovering from respective injuries.
