Promoted at 17, he joined the 2015 pre-season in Florida under Tite and was in that year’s title-winning squad. In 2016 he reached the Copinha final, lost on penalties to Flamengo, and a chipped miss off the bar hurt his standing. He made three senior appearances.

He moved to Juventus in June 2016 for €2.5m, about R$ 9.3m at the time. Ge.globo reports Corinthians retained 5% of his rights, with 95% assigned to agent Fernando Garcia to offset debts.

Subsequent stops included Juventus, Empoli, Bordeaux II, Paraná, Juventus B, Dijon, Barcelona B and Eibar before his return to Brazil. He arrives to cover the gap left by Maycon’s switch to Atlético-MG.

Left-footed and 1.83 metres tall, he is valued for progressive short passes, long diagonals and through balls, and can play deep or higher.

He is Corinthians’ second addition after Gabriel Paulista, who debuted in the defeat to Red Bull Bragantino. Registered for the Paulistão on Friday, he could debut for Dorival Júnior against São Paulo on Sunday at 16:00 at Neo Química Arena. Pedro Milans and Kaio César are close to joining.
