Matias Fernandez-Pardo has been left out of Lille’s squad to face PSG on Friday at 20h45 in the second round of Ligue 1.
According to L'Équipe, the 21-year-old Belgian forward wants to leave before the window shuts and is training away from the group. He is under contract until 2029 and, despite that stance, had been considered the first-choice centre-forward.
Lille have removed him from the first-team set-up while his future is resolved. Head coach Davide Ancelotti said he will not train with the squad until the transfer window closes.
The club still hope to keep him and would only sell on two conditions. They must secure an adequate replacement within their wage structure, then obtain the right price.
New loanee Dilane Bakwa, from Nottingham Forest, is available to face PSG, as is Tanguy Nianzou.
