Atlético de Madrid are monitoring Lille attacker Matías Fernández-Pardo as a flexible option for Diego Simeone’s forward line.
According to La Colina De Nervion, he is valued for operating from the left, as a second striker or through the middle. He provides varied solutions without losing presence in the box.
Born in Brussels on 3 February 2005, the 21-year-old is 1.83 metres tall and right footed. For Lille he has featured both centrally and on either flank.
In 2025/26 he played 16 Ligue 1 matches, 14 from the start, with three goals and three assists. He runs in behind, drives into central areas and finishes inside the area. His physique supports hold-up play and fluid rotations.
In a front two he can act as a second striker, drifting left to attack spaces created by the focal point.
In a front three he can start wide then move infield to finish. That ability to alternate roles aligns with the attacker profile Atlético seek this window.
Regular minutes at Lille have underpinned his step forward, while senior involvement with Belgium has lifted his visibility among Europe’s promising forwards.
He is under contract until 30 June 2029, leaving Lille strong in any talks. His market value is around 38 million euros and other European clubs have been linked. The coming weeks will show whether interest develops.
