Matt Law teases Chelsea fans with striker news and tells them to keep a ‘heavy’ eye target | OneFootball

I feel like The Telegraph’s Matt Law has dropped a bit of teasing update today that might have a little more to it than meets the eye.

Law is a well-know Chelsea insider and his info on the club is always very reliable, so when he drops things like this, Chelsea fans will naturally get quite excited by it.

He has just appeared on the latest episode of The London is Blue Podcast this week to chat Chelsea transfers. He dropped a lot of other news too, including an update on one Chelsea loan star this season who has been linked with a recall.

And of course, Law was asked about Chelsea’s striker situation after recent links to Liam Delap of Ipswich Town. It looks like there is a genuine chance of this one happening as well, and maybe even this month after this latest teasing update.

He didn’t say too much or go into any detail, but he tells Chelsea fans to keep a ‘heavy’ eye on Delap the Chelsea situation, which could end up being quite significant.

Law says:

“Definitely, have an eye on Liam Delap, I would suggest a heavy one.”

Maybe I am over thinking it and going too far, but it feels like he and other journalists might be sat on some info here and Chelsea’s interest could well be developing behind closed doors. That is entirely speculative from me of course, but it certainly has that feel about it.

Well, we are all very much now ‘having an eye’ on Delap and his situation, as he is a target that really does intrigue me. I think he offers Chelsea something else and something different to Nicolas Jackson and is a profile we really need.
