Olympique Lyonnais technical director Matthieu Louis-Jean has confirmed Endrick’s loan includes a payment structure linked to his minutes, and outlined the club’s wish to keep captain Corentin Tolisso beyond his current deal.

“There is a structure to the deal that means the more he plays, the less we pay,” he said, speaking on RMC’s After Foot on Tuesday evening.

“His red card at Nantes does not suit us, clearly,” he admitted. Each match the Brazilian misses increases the amount Lyon must pay Real Madrid until the end of the season.

He reflected on a winter window that drew attention, with loan arrivals of Endrick and Roman Iaremtchouk and the signing of Noah Nartey. He noted Lyon had held back part of their summer budget to leave room to act in January.

He underlined a desire to continue with Paulo Fonseca and Tolisso, both contracted to 2027. “Corentin is an important player in the dressing room. He is our captain.”

“He is completely in the club’s project. We want to continue this project with him.” Talks with Tolisso, 31, would “advance” in the coming weeks regarding an extension.
