Matthieu Udol is a doubt for RC Lens's trip to Prague on Thursday after going off in the first half against Lorient in Saturday's 0-1 match.
According to L'Équipe, tests on Sunday ruled out knee damage and instead confirmed a heavy dead leg to his right thigh, with the ligaments unaffected.
Broadcast cameras showed the club doctor checking his right knee, a worrying sight given Udol has suffered four anterior cruciate ligament ruptures in the same knee, in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2021.
Post-match, Florian Thauvin and Dino Toppmöller downplayed the incident as a simple knock, easing initial fears.
The injury has left notable swelling and Toppmöller and his staff do not intend to take risks for Thursday's 21:00 kick-off, leaving the 30-year-old defender uncertain.
Midfielder Yassine Titraoui will miss out with a hamstring problem.
