Real Madrid is already planning for the future of its bench. After the stint of Álvaro Arbeloa, who was brought in to ensure the transition following Xabi Alonso, the Madrid board is actively considering the profile of the coach who will take charge of the team next season.
Among the names discussed internally is Mauricio Pochettino. Currently the manager of the United States since 2024, the Argentine tactician remains highly regarded on the European market and could be available after the 2026 World Cup.
When asked about a possible move to Real Madrid, the former Tottenham and PSG boss did not close the door.
"One thing at a time. Timing is always important in this sport. Football takes you where it wants," he said.
