Mauritania have perhaps pulled off the shock of the year as they downed Algeria in the African Cup of Nations, knocking the two-time champions out with their first ever win in the competition.
A first-half strike from defender Mohamed Dellah Yaly was all Mauritania needed as they fended off Riyad Mahrez and co.
Just over a decade ago, Mauritania was ranked the fourth worst football team in the world, and now they are sending African football royalty crashing out!
Mauritania currently sit third in Group D after the stunning victory, seeing the Lions of Chinguetti book their place in the knockouts.
