Maxence Lacroix, the Crystal Palace defender, has received his first senior France call-up, drafted in to replace Arsenal's injured William Saliba.

According to BuLi News, the 25-year-old will report to the national squad on Monday after being added to the group.

He has previously represented France at youth level, and this marks a long-awaited breakthrough into the senior setup.

Lacroix played 130 games for Wolfsburg between 2020 and 2024, more than for any other club in his career to date.

His consistent club performances have now been rewarded with selection for the international stage.
