Maxime Dupé could be playing his final game for Nice at Strasbourg on Wednesday if the side are knocked out, according to L'Équipe.

The selection call for this Coupe de France semi-final centred on whether Yehvann Diouf or Dupé would be in goal. Diouf, a Senegal international, has impressed since reclaiming the number one spot, notably in the last two rounds against Montpellier, L2, 3-2, and especially at Lorient, 0-0, 6-5 on penalties.

Claude Puel has followed his usual policy by handing the gloves to the back-up, so Dupé gets the nod.

Dupé featured against Saint-Étienne, L2, 2-1, under Franck Haise, then at Nantes, 1-1, 5-3 on penalties, during Diouf’s absence at the Africa Cup of Nations.

In a news conference, the 33-year-old said that, unless there is a major change, he would leave when his contract expires in June, adding that he hopes to depart with survival and a small trophy.
