Maxime Estève to leave Burnley after relegation

Maxime Estève will leave Burnley following their drop to the Championship, having reached 100 appearances for the club at 23.

According to L'Équipe, after two and a half seasons he is set to find a new team in the coming weeks and must decide his future quickly. He has been at Burnley since 2024.

The former Montpellier defender could remain in the Premier League, with Nottingham Forest, Everton and Bournemouth making contact to sign him.

Alternatively, he could move to the Bundesliga, where Leverkusen have pushed their case.

Burnley have accepted the prospect of his departure and will now negotiate with suitors for the left-footed centre-back, who is under contract until 2030.
