Maxime Lopez omitted by Paris FC for Nice as Antoine Kombouaré makes debut

Antoine Kombouaré has omitted Maxime Lopez from Paris FC’s squad for the home match against Nice on Sunday, his first game in charge at 15:00.

According to L'Équipe, Lopez was available again after serving a suspension against Toulouse last weekend, yet he is not selected.

His brother Julien, Willem Geubbels and Timothée Kolodziejczak are also left out.

The decision is a strong early message, with Maxime Lopez and Kolodziejczak having captained Paris FC this season.

It marks Kombouaré’s first set of bold selection calls as he begins life on the Paris FC bench.
