Maximilian Bauer ‘to join’ Arminia Bielefeld on six-month loan from Augsburg

Sky Germany reports that Maximilian Bauer’s loan move from FC Augsburg to Arminia Bielefeld is effectively done.

A full agreement between Augsburg and the German second-tier club is said to be in place.

The 25-year-old centre-back will join on a six-month loan until the end of the season.

He has not featured for Augsburg’s senior side since the campaign began.

Instead he has played in Regionalliga Bavaria, making 10 appearances and scoring once.

Even with captain Jeffrey Gouweleeuw injured, Keven Schlotterbeck, Chrislain Matsima and Noah Banks have kept him out.
