Manchester City may not have to face either Kylian Mbappé or Eduardo Camavinga at the Bernabéu on Wednesday.

Both French players have not featured in training for Los Blancos ahead of tomorrow night's Champions League clash with Real Madrid currently ahead of City in the Champions League table.

Mbappé will certainly be a big miss should he not recover in time with the striker currently leading the scoring charts in the competition with nine goals in just five games.

The 26-year-old did play all 90 minutes of Real Madrid's surprise 2-0 home defeat to Celta de Vigo on Sunday unlike Eduardo Camavinga who stayed on the bench – the French midfielder is a big doubt for the upcoming game after also missing training.

Xabi Alonso will certainly be hoping to have his players back in ready after a difficult start to life in charge of the La Liga giants who are currently four points behind leaders Barcelona.
