The turbulent period in the aftermath of Xabi Alonso's departure from Real Madrid looks to be over after Los Blancos return to action in LaLiga this afternoon.
In the wake of a devastating Copa del Rey round of 16 defeat at the hands of Albacete, former club full-back and current manager Ălvaro Arbeloa is primed for his first result at the helm, thanks to none other than Kylian MbappĂ©.
The French superstar, who was at the centre of discourse surrounding the conclusion of Alonso's reign, looks to have put it all behind him after bagging yet another goal for the Spanish giants to put them one-nil up against Levante with a converted penalty in the 58th minute.
With his latest strike, Mbappé became the second-fastest player in the 21st century to reach 50 goals in the Spanish top flight (53 appearances) behind none other than Cristiano Ronaldo (51).
Cemented as one of the brightest talents of his generation, as well as one of the most lethal finishers to grace the Santiago Bernabeu pitch, one has to wonder what more is to come.
