Hibernian beat Hearts 3-2 at Easter Road to stay fifth, as the leaders remain top.

Jamie McGrath opened the scoring in the third minute, steering Nicky Cadden's cross into the top left from the centre of the box.

Josh Campbell doubled the advantage with a glancing header (45.), supplied by McGrath. After the restart, Kieron Bowie slotted in from Josh Mulligan's pass (48.) to stretch the lead.

The Jambos hit back when Lawrence Shankland headed in from an Alexandros Kyziridis delivery following a corner (75.). Cameron Devlin then struck from close range (89.) to set up a tense finish.

Raphael Sallinger made key stops, including late saves from Kyziridis and Shankland in the first minute of second half stoppage time.

Cadden's day ended early with injury, and his replacement Campbell (30.) promptly found the net before half time.

Hibs registered seven shots on target from 12 attempts. Hearts saw 66.4% possession, producing 16 attempts and eight corners as they pressed.

Next, Hibs host Aberdeen. Hearts host Livingston.
