Olympique de Marseille beat Stade Rennais FC 3-1 on matchday 34. According to L'Équipe, a few hours later the now former Marseille director Medhi Benatia reviewed the season and aimed a dig at FC Nantes owner Waldemar Kita, who was absent from La Beaujoire when relegation to Ligue 2 was sealed.

Speaking in the mixed zone, Benatia said he takes responsibility for his decisions, keeps his head high and attended the stadium right to the final game of the campaign, reflecting on a disappointing year at the Orange Vélodrome.

He contrasted that with Kita, insisting he did not stay at home and does not hide, highlighting that he was in the stands watching his team.

Benatia noted that Kita did not show in Nantes on Sunday. FC Nantes had already been relegated to Ligue 2 since matchday 33 and hosted Toulouse at La Beaujoire in a highly charged atmosphere.

The match was abandoned following a pitch invasion. Waldemar Kita, the club's owner and president, and his son Franck Kita, the deputy managing director, were not present in the presidential box.
