Some potentially big news has emerged regarding the future of AC Milan, with Fabio Paratici expected to meet the club today.

In recent days there has been a lot of speculation circulating about what the future course of Milan will be, such as whether they will go for an Italian-led new era or persist with a more ‘European’ style of doing things.

According to what the journalist Claudio Raimondi said on SportMediaset this afternoon (via MilanPress), in the next few hours Paratici will be at Casa Milan to speak with the management about a potential role as the sporting director.

Also imminent, he adds, is an agreement with Massimiliano Allegri over a contract worth €5m net per season. It will see him become the new head coach, replacing Sergio Conceicao who is being widely tipped to leave in June.

Some crucial decisions are facing Milan in the coming weeks and months, and it feels like if they did turn to Paratici and Allegri it would be more of a ‘safe’ move given that both have experience in Serie A and a long list of successes to their name.

For Allegri it would be a return to a club that he won the league title with back in the 2010-11 season, before he went to Juve and won 12 major trophies across two spells.
