Liam Rosenior is reportedly facing a fight to cling on to the manager’s job at Chelsea as meetings have been taking place all day to determine the club’s next steps.
The Blues were beaten 3-0 by Brighton last night to make it five defeats in a row in the Premier League, all without scoring a single goal.
During Rosenior’s brief stint in charge, Chelsea have also been knocked out of both the Carabao Cup and the Champions League, the latter of which was a particularly brutal 8-2 aggregate thrashing at the hands of PSG.
Now BBC Sport are among the sources reporting that Rosenior seems to be facing growing uncertainty as talks have been held inside Stamford Bridge today.
Other top journalists are also posting on X about the situation, with Miguel Delaney saying meetings have been happening all morning…

The 41-year-old English tactician did an impressive job at Strasbourg, but this was always going to be a big step up to a club where there’s far more pressure and expectation from the fans and pundits alike.
It’s not clear, however, if the manager is really the problem either, with others like Enzo Maresca, Mauricio Pochettino, and Graham Potter also struggling under this ownership and business model.
Chelsea’s downfall really started when Roman Abramovich had to leave, with the new BlueCo set-up looking a million miles away from what the club used to be under the previous owner.
