Mega coup in the summer? Bayern reportedly examining Osimhen transfer

Victor Osimhen and FC Bayern have been linked for years. For a long time, it remained a loose idea, but now the personnel issue is apparently picking up speed again

One thing is clear: as long as Harry Kane plays in Munich, there is no acute need for another centre-forward from the top shelf. The Englishman delivers goals on an assembly line and is undisputed in sporting terms. Nevertheless, his contract „only“ runs until 2027 – and interest from the Premier League, Saudi Arabia or even FC Barcelona is no secret. A short-term departure is considered unlikely, but at Säbener Straße they are thinking strategically

This is exactly where Victor Osimhen could come into play

Bayern examines new option

The Nigerian had already been offered to FC Bayern in January, but at the time, sporting director Max Eberl is said to have rejected the offer. However, according to information from the portal Fussball Transfers, the sporting management is now looking again at a possible signing

One reason for this is apparently Vincent Kompany. The Bayern coach is considered a big supporter of the 27-year-old. Osimhen has exactly the profile that is required in modern attacking play: pace, physicality, depth and finishing power

The personal component also plays a role. Osimhen can imagine a commitment in Munich, his partner is German. In addition, Bayern are said to be one of a small circle of clubs for which the striker has a contractually anchored transfer option – despite his contract with Galatasaray running until 2029

Osimhen initially moved to Istanbul on loan in the summer of 2024 before Galatasaray signed him permanently from SSC Napoli for 75 million euros. The investment is paying off in sporting terms: the attacker has scored 17 goals in 25 games this season, seven of them in the Champions League

In addition to FC Bayern, clubs from Saudi Arabia are also said to be showing interest. The financial clout of the desert state is well known – a factor that Munich would have to take into account in a potential bid.
