Members of Real Madrid dressing room have ‘lost confidence’ in one teammate | OneFootball

More than one member of the first-team setup at La Liga champions Real Madrid has grown increasingly concerned with the ongoing form of Aurélien Tchouaméni.

That’s according to Real insider Mario Cortegana of The Athletic, who has on Monday provided an insight into the situation.

The name of France international Tchouaméni of course took its place front and centre in the chatter across Spanish football once more on Sunday night.

Unfortunately for the former AS Monaco man, however, this came for less than positive reasons.

Afforded a starting berth at the heart of defence in Los Blancos’ Spanish Super Cup showdown with arch rivals Barcelona, Tchouaméni struggled throughout, looking entirely out of sorts.

This marked just the latest in a string of underwhelming displays on the part of the 24-year-old, whom many of a Real Madrid persuasion have long made clear their desire for the club to part ways with.

And, evidently, the Blancos faithful are not the only ones growing more and more concerned by Tchouaméni’s efforts on the pitch.

As per a report from The Athletic:

‘Some in the dressing room have lost confidence in the France international,’ albeit with it also noted that ‘others point out that he is often playing in an unfamiliar position.’

It now remains to be seen if Tchouaméni can turn things around by the summer, or risk being shipped off by Florentino Pérez and co.
