Memphis Depay could earn over R$ 3 million if he is named in two more Corinthians squads by the end of July, activating a 50% appearances clause dating back to August last year. According to Meu Timao, he only needs to be listed, not play.
He has featured in 32 of 65 matches since August 2025. The deadline falls this month, covering the next three Campeonato Brasileiro fixtures, Remo and Athletico Paranaense at Neo Química Arena, then Bahia at Arena Fonte Nova.
Being named in two of those would add R$ 3,150,402 to sums already owed by the club.
That outcome may be blocked because he currently lacks valid registration with the FPF and CBF after the club mistakenly recorded a 20 June contract end. Director of football Marcelo Paz has said signatures from Memphis and Osmar Stabile could resolve it, but the update is yet to appear. Until regularised, he cannot feature.
His first campaign, from September 2024 to July 2025, brought 71% involvement and R$ 6,300,804. The deal pays R$ 3,150,402 at 50%, plus R$ 1,575,201 at 60% and a further R$ 1,575,201 at 70%.
Any payment would arrive after his contract ends on 31 July, with a single instalment due on 20 August. Talks continue over a new agreement, with a proposal sent on significantly lower figures and fully funded by Corinthians, though no resolution has been reached.
Corinthians owe about R$ 42 million to Memphis Depay for signing-on fees, achieved bonuses, titles and other premia. In renewal discussions, the club is seeking to amortise the debt and pay in instalments.
