Memphis Depay and Gabriel Paulista will miss Corinthians' match at Chapecoense on Thursday in the seventh round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. According to Meu Timao, the pair have been left out of the travelling squad.
They will remain in São Paulo to focus on Sunday's game against Flamengo at Neo Química Arena.
Depay's absence relates to his recent run of games, anticipated Netherlands duty during the FIFA window, and the synthetic pitch at Arena Condá. Gabriel Paulista has been rested with the Clássico das Multidões in mind.
Both started the 1-1 draw with Santos on Sunday. Corinthians led through a superb strike from the number 10, but a Gabriel Paulista error preceded the equaliser.
Despite the synthetic surface, Rodrigo Garro, who had knee issues last season, is available and has travelled to Santa Catarina.
Corinthians are seeking to end a five-game winless run, their longest under Dorival Júnior. They sit eighth on eight points, with Chapecoense 12th on six. Kick-off is at 21:30 at Arena Condá.
