According to Globo.com, Memphis Depay is expected to feature for Corinthians for around 30 to 45 minutes on Thursday night against Rosario Central at Neo Química Arena, in the second leg of the Conmebol Libertadores last 16.
The first leg finished 0-0 in Argentina, so Corinthians need a win by any score to reach the quarter-finals.
Depay trained with the starters under Fernando Diniz on Wednesday at CT Joaquim Grava, but the staff plan a gradual return, so he is likely to begin on the bench.
This will be his first appearance since signing a new deal on Tuesday, which runs until 31 July 2028.
For Corinthians, the No 10 has one goal and one assist in 14 appearances this season. His most recent outing for the club was on 27 May against Platense in the Libertadores group stage, when he started, played the first half and was withdrawn at the interval.
His last match was on 25 June, when he played 13 minutes for the Netherlands against Tunisia in the World Cup group stage. Five days later he stayed on the bench in the defeat to Morocco, which ended the Dutch campaign.
He has not completed a full match since March, having suffered a thigh injury and a prolonged period of uncertainty over his future at Corinthians. After the World Cup he took a holiday, then spent about a month training individually with fitness coach Diego Pereira, who is expected to continue working with him in Brazil for the next two years.
